Overview

A.V. Thomas Produce invites you to showcase your culinary creativity with sweet potatoes in our "Show Us Your Sweets" contest! Submit your original recipe and a photo of your dish for a chance to win. Contest entries open on November 15 and close on December 31. We’re excited to see your delicious ideas!

Entry Guidelines

  1. Eligibility: The contest is open to individuals aged 18 and above.
  2. Entry Limit: Each contestant may submit one recipe and one corresponding photo.
  3. Categories:
    • Appetizers
    • Main Dishes
    • Desserts
    • Innovative Creations – dishes that showcase unique, creative, or original uses of sweet potatoes.
  4. Submission: All entries must be submitted through our website at [website link]. Please complete the online form and upload your recipe and photo.

Submission Requirements

  • Recipe: Must be an original recipe using sweet potatoes as a primary ingredient. Please include the recipe name, ingredients, and detailed cooking instructions.
  • Photo: Submit a high-quality photo that visually captures your dish. Only one photo per entry is allowed.

Judging and Selection

  1. Judging Criteria:
    • Creativity and originality of the recipe (40%)
    • Visual appeal of the photo (30%)
    • Presentation and clarity of recipe instructions (20%)
    • Overall use of sweet potatoes (10%)
  2. Finalists: The top three entries in each category will be selected based on the criteria above. We will recreate these top recipes to help determine the winners.
  3. Winners: One winner will be chosen from each category based on the quality of the recipe and the photo.

Prizes

  • Category Winners (one winner per category): Winners will receive a prize package including a $100 Gift Card of their choice, a prize basket from A.V. Thomas Produce and a 40lb box of A.V. Thomas Produce sweet potatoes.
  • Announcement: Winners will be announced in early January on our website and social media channels.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Rights: By entering, contestants agree that A.V. Thomas Produce may use submitted recipes, photos, and the contestant’s name and likeness in promotional materials, including online and print content.
  2. Originality: Submitted recipes must be the contestant’s original creation. By entering, you confirm the originality of your recipe.
  3. Disqualification: Incomplete or inappropriate entries will be disqualified.
