Beginning with a small acreage in 1988, consumer interest in "organic" sweet potatoes has grown to the point that A.V. Thomas Produce is now the largest grower-packer-shipper of organic sweet potatoes in the United States. Production revolves around four varieties... Garnets, Jewels, Sweets and Orientals are shipped under the "Natural Beauty" label.

For consumer convenience, A.V. Thomas Produce developed a 3 pound bag and Organic PLU stickers as an easy way to purchase organic sweet potatoes. The 3 pound bag and PLU's give any marketing entity the ability to conveniently display organic with conventional produce. Now 5 and 10 pound bags are also available!
