A.V. Thomas Produce grows, packs and ships fresh conventional and certified organic sweet potatoes and yams year 'round. |

|
|
By 1988, A. V. Thomas Produce had outgrown the existing sweet potato packing plant facilities that were constructed in the early 60's. To meet both the current and forecasted demand, a business plan was developed that called for the construction of a new 80,000 sq. ft. packing facility, several packaging lines, and three truck loading docks (now four docks).

The new packing facility,combined with the warehousing capacity specifically designed to control temperature and humidity, allows A.V. Thomas Produce to pack and ship quality sweet potatoes and yams on a year round basis. To facilitate tight shipping schedules, A.V. Thomas Produce facilities include an on-site scale and loading is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
